Personal
Bullet's passion for photography was nurtured on the streets of New York City while he was a Parsons design student in the early eighties. Bullet is always ready to photograph interesting images, scenes and people that he comes across. Each photo starts in his mind's eye, then he takes aim and captures it to share with others.
SilverMoon Saloon, Winston Salem, N.C.
"Here is another photo from my STREET "SEEN" (yes, that's a play on words) series. It's a shot I took in July while walking around the arts district in Winston-Salem, North Carolina."
Suburban Shock and Awe
"As I was shooting in Washington Square Park one day in 1982, I spied this humorous scene of a hipster girl dancing away while others looked on...seemingly shocked by what they were seeing."
Blue Light Special
These are two of Bullet's 'Light Painting' fine art photographs. The photo on the left received a Finalist award and was published in the "Best of Photography 2009" hardcover annual. Both photos were part of a juried exhibition at Arterie Fine Arts gallery in Naperville, IL.
Body and Soul, Baby . . .
"This is a shot I captured while visiting Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Of course, the cool cat that drove this car would park it in front of a 70s boutique called Body and Soul!"
The Man Had a Screw Loose
"While walking around Greenwich Village in NYC (circa 1981) doing some street photography, I came across this guy doing his 'performance art' right on the sidewalk. I recall it was early on a Sunday morning and not many people were roaming around yet. This guy was sitting on a 6 foot square panel that he had painted black and drilled thousands of holes into. THOUSANDS! He had a bucket of screws next to him. He was methodically placing a screw into each of his pre-drilled holes and then screwing it into the hole, each screw screwed to the same depth. He was very quiet and focused. I don't know how long it took him to finish, but I bet his back still hurts from that performance!
