Time of Year Challenges
This is one of those commercial photography assignments where the client needs shots of a newly completed project—but it's winter. Snow, grey skies, freezing cold temps. So I fly back to Chicago, do the shoot, knowing I will create a great image by retouching it in post production. I straightened the perspective, added a sky, brightened up the building, got rid of all the snow and added green grass and bushes, and cropped the image slightly. You don't always get the perfect time of year to shoot, so you have to know what you can do in retouching to still deliver a winning image.
